Meet Ted MacMahon, an elite age-group endurance athlete based in Flagstaff, Arizona and Hózhó Brand Ambassador.
Ted started out endurance life as a Division I Nordic ski racer at St. Lawrence University before moving to Colorado and graduating to ski marathons where he was rated Colorado’s fastest Nordic skier at the time. In his mid-20s, he switched his focus to road marathons, which he continues to this day. During his 40s, Ted completed 9 full Ironman triathlons, including the prestigious Kona Ironman race.
Since then he has returned to the trails that he loves and has been competing (and winning his age group) in ultra-trail marathons regularly over the last 6 years in addition to several road marathons each year.
At 54 years young and over 60 marathons (including 23 Boston Marathons!) under his belt, Ted continues to compete at the highest level and believes that the key to his continued success involves good nutrition, fueling, hydration, regular health visits, and the incorporation of natural products into his training regimen to help with both performance and recovery.
Cheers to Ted, and please join us in wishing him all the best for the upcoming season.
